Legal icon opens law firm in Vancouver’s False Creek

Vancouver, B.C. – Art Vertlieb, QC, has opened Vertlieb & Co, a boutique law firm, the highly respected legal professional announced recently. The firm specializes in a range of legal services for clients including personal injury law, fraud, Internet harassment and cyberbullying.

Mr. Vertlieb is well-known in British Columbian and Canadian legal circles. A trial lawyer who has appeared in criminal and civil matters in all levels of court – provincial, federal and the Supreme Court of Canada – he also served as Commission Counsel to the Missing Women Commission of Inquiry, which looked into the mass murder of vulnerable women from the downtown eastside of Vancouver. He also served as Commission Counsel to the Braidwood Inquiry, which examined the safety of conducted energy weapons (Tasers) and the death of Robert Dziekansi. Mr. Vertlieb has been a leader in the legal field throughout his career and is a former president of the Law Society of British Columbia, former president and founding vice president of the Trial Lawyers Association of British Columbia, and chair and founding member of the Lawyers Assistance Program of British Columbia, to name a few.
